How do I set a print area in Excel?

Select the range you want, then go to Page Layout → Print Area → Set Print Area. Now only that selection will print.

Setting a print area lets you print just the part of your worksheet you need, not everything.

How to Set the Print Area

  1. Select the range of cells you want to print
  2. Go to the Page Layout tab
  3. Click Print AreaSet Print Area

Done! Now Ctrl+P will print only this area.

How to Add Another Area

If you need to print multiple non-contiguous ranges:

  1. Select the new range
  2. Print AreaAdd to Print Area

Each range will print on a separate page.
